POOR SHELLEY

Ok...someone needs to help our friend Shelley out here. Tina???? Someone!!!! She is the reason I started reading blogs and then created my own. Now the poor thing barely has time to comment on ours much less keep her own up. It will be OK though Shelley we still love you. I don't post nearly as much as I should. I know you are extremely busy right now.

Take a break and get some Shelley time over the holidays just as they all told me to do!!!!!

BLOOD PRESSURE

Sorry it took me so long to let you all know what is going on, but I was really busy yesterday and have been today as well. I went to the doctor yesterday morning and Dr. Cooke said that I am fine nothing to worry about with my blood pressure. He thinks my headaches may be coming from stress. I am very busy these days at work and you know I am always busy at home.

So thanks to all of you for praying and thanks for the comments you all sent to me. It helped me this weekend.

TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so glad that it is Friday. I hate to wish my life away, but during regular work weeks I pray each day that the next day will be Friday. Thank goodness it is finally here.

I do have something for you all to pray about this weekend. I have never had any health problems except the issues when I was pregnant. But back in October when I went for my yearly pap exam the bottom number of my blood pressure was high. He told me to keep a check on it and let him know. Well I didn't keep a check on it. The past few weeks I have a lot of headaches. I get one now almost everyday. So Wednesday when I went for my yearly eye exam I had my eye doctor check my blood pressure and he said the bottom number was high. So I called my doctor's office and they said I needed to come in so I have an appointment Monday at 8:15 here in Ahoskie. I hope it goes well. I really don't want to be on blood pressure medicine, although my mom can vouch for this...half my family is on it. I am going to enjoy the rest of the day and the weekend and try not to worry about it and see what happens on Monday. I know the blood pressure couldn't be coming from weight because I have lost a lot. Although I have gained a few back, but I am kind of stuck right now....want to lose about 15-20 more.

Time off Work

I can't wait till 5:00 PM December 19th. I will be off until January 5th. The college usually closes 2 weeks at Christmas, but this year we were uncertain. But it is official we are off for 2 full weeks again. Thank goodness!!! What will I do with myself? I guess the same thing I have done for the past 3 years...clean, shop, watch TV, eat, shop, watch TV, eat, drink...I will have to go to mom's to keep up with everyone's blogs because I don't have internet access at home. I use to have cable internet that I used for work, but after the boys were born I stopped working from home so I had that $50 bill cut off.
Anyway, I can't wait to be off and thought I would share that with you all. I hope to see some of you over the next month or so.

Just JT's Instructions Do Work Mom!!!

I printed her Jamie's instructions off of my mom's blog comments and they do work. Please tell Jamie thank you. Mom I will come by and help you. If I can do it you can do it.

BOYS FIRST B-BALL GAME!!!

Granny (Nancy) is taking the boys to their very first basketball game tonight at Northeast. I know they will love it. I hope they are good and that they behave. I am sure they will because they behave better for their grandparents than they do for Heath and I. I am sure they will be full of questions because since I told them they were going they have asked 1,000 things. They wanted to know if you have to wear different shoes to play basketball and what clothes do you wear...don't know why they asked that? They said do we have be quiet or can we talk. I said you can talk because there will be a lot of noise in there and no one would even hear you. I said but you can be yelling unless you are chearing for Northeast when they make a basket. They both said that as soon as Granny tells them which team is Northeast they will chear when they make the goal. They are so smart for 2 1/2. They love basketball because their Ma-Ma Byrd (Ellen) is a die hard Tarheels fan and almost every basketball game, for the past 2 years, they insist on watching and chearing for "Ma-Ma Byrd's team". (not the Tarheels or Carolina, but Ma-Ma Byrd's team). They really love football too. As a matter of fact they love all sports. They love to watch the outdoor channel when they are deer or duck hunting. Dalton says, "I am going to get a gun when I get big like Wade (Jenkins) and go shoot dem deer with my Daddy." Dawson always says, "I am going to brubba, but I want momma to go too." They are so funny. In case I hadn't mentioned it before they call each other "brubba" not bubba or brother, but "brubba".

I can not believe some of the things they say to me. This morning on the way to daycare they were just so excited about the snow that they were full of themselves. I told them that Uncle John was coming next week (my mom's brother). They said why. I told them that he is coming for Thanksgiving. Then I asked them if they knew what Thanksgiving was. They said, "Yes...Ms. Machelle told us." (as if I was stupid for asking)

LET IT SNOT, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW!!!

I love snow!!!! It makes me smile and I love to just sit and watch it. Although I am sad that I had to keep my normal schedule today maybe it will keep snowing enough that we will close. Anyway...hope you all are enjoying it as much as I am.

Pray for My Friend

I should have posted this on Monday, but got busy and forgot. Please pray for Ashley Taylor. For those of you who don't know her, she is Daniel Flythe's girlfriend. She had to fly to Chicago on Monday morning for training for a promotion at work. She will be flying back today and she is terribly scared of flying and she was upset Monday that she had to leave Daniel for the first time since they started dating. They are remodeling a house they bought on Zion Church Road just down from Mack Sykes' house. They are suppoed to move in this weekend and she is a ball of nerves being in Chicago when she needs to be packing.
Pray for her safe return and that she will be able to make her Friday deadline moving in her newly remodeled house.

BROTHERLY LOVE

Those of you that know the boys know that they are very different in most ways. They are the same in some ways, but usually different as night and day. You know that Dawson (the smallest one) is the wildest, but the most loving. Dalton (Baby A-first born-largest) is the calmest, but the most stubborn and doesn't like to hug and kiss as much as Dawson. Since Dalton fell down the stairs on Sunday morning, Dawson wants to make sure someone holds Dalton's hand every time he goes down the steps. Yesterday morning, last night, and this morning Dawson said, "Mommy, Daddy somebody needs to hold Dalt Dalt's hand." I said, "We will buddy." He said, "No do it right now because he might fall again, get hurt, and have to go to the hospital." I told him that we would be very careful from now on so that no one would fall down the stairs again. He just kept insisting that that wasn't enough until he finally said, "Mommy, please don't let nothing happen to my brother cause I love him soooooo much and he is my best friend." I thought I would cry. Even though Dawson is the wildest and he aggravates Dalton 90% of the time, he loves him more than anything in the world.

They are only 2 1/2 and where do they learn all of this stuff from? Are they born with it or do they just pay attention to everything that goes on around them?

Here they are this summer riding their tricycle at Granny's house together (Dawson in front and Dalton in back). They love to do things together even though they fight about it.

EVENTFUL WEEK

Ok I think the twins are going to cause me to have a heart attack at 30 years "young". One night last week Heath caught Dawson climbing on the back of the couch. He went over to get him down and Dawson jumped and busted his nose on the end table. There was blood everywhere. He cried and cried. I rushed him to the bathroom to clean it up and see what damage had been done. As soon as I cleaned him up, put an icepack on it, gave him motrin and sat down with him in my lap, he said, "I am Ok now mommy, it don't hurt." He is a tough little boy. He went back to playing as if nothing had happened. Later that night he even let me clean all of the blood off of his nose and face.
Then yesterday morning both boys went upstairs to play with their toys guns. They never go upstairs to play alone, but this time they said they were going to shoot birds out of their bedroom window. A few minutes later Dalton came tumbling down the stairs head first. He was trying to come down with his little gun in his hand and was going too fast and lost his balance and starting tumbling end over end down the stairs. I was so scared that I just froze for a split second without saying anything or moving. It looked like he had broken his neck. He landed at the bottom of the stairs flat of his back on the floor. He didn't move nor say anything. Heath screamed like a girl and ran over to pick him up. He reached for me immediately. I sat down on the couch talking to him and asking if he was Ok. I made him move his neck all around and I gave him some motrin. He said he felt fine, but he was scared. A few minutes later after Dawson had loved him and talked to him they both went in their playroom (downstairs) and went back to playing as if nothing had happened.
I have learned lately that if I don't make a big deal out of their accidents they feel better. They are tough and the accidents scare them more than hurt them.
Pray for my two little wild animals!!!! Please!!! Also pray for me that I will be able to handle what I have coming to me with those two!!!

VISIT WITH WESTON

So we went to see Weston Zane Jenkins last night. They came home from the hospital yesterday around 2:00 pm. He is so precious and so tiny. I know he is about the same size Dalton was and larger than Dawson but he just looks so little. It is hard for me to believe that my boys were that little. Heck, Dawson still is little. Poor thing...the boys will be 3 Feb 14th and Dawson weighs about 25-28 pounds. He wears 18 or 24 month pants. So tiny...and not enough butt to hold anything up. Now Dalton is not too big himself, but he is average for his age. He wears a 2T or 3T pants with adjustable sides. (he needs it for the length, but the waist is too big and has to be tightened)
Back to Weston: He was just adorable. His face and skin are so perfect. He has no marks, bumps, scratches or anything on his face. He was beautiful!!! After I held him I went and picked Wade up and held him like I used to when he was little. He laughed and said, "I am too big to hold Kelly." I told him that he would never be too big for me to hold. I LOVE THAT BOY!!! Now, "Weston you will have a lot of competition with Wade but I think I have enough love to go around." I was able to spend more time with Wade before the twins were born than I can now, but he and I will always remember the bond we shared. I remember just before the boys were born Wade asked me one day, "Kelly, when the boys need to eat my mamma can feed them and you can play with me." I thought that was so cute. Wade has always been sweet to the boys even though they steal my time away from him. LOVE YOU WADE!!!

My Boys are Growing Up!!!

I know that it is over 3 months away, but I can't believe that the twins will be 3 years old Valentine's Day. Time really flies by. Shannon I know people have told you this until you are sick of hearing it, but enjoy Judson as much as possible. After he starts walking good, he will be running, and then talking back. You know he will talk back if he is related to you at all, but remember each time you correct him...you know how it feels to be him. HaHa!!!

The pictures are from the boys 2nd Birthday party this year. First is Dalton...he didn't want anyone to make him center of attention that day. Second is Dawson eating lunch before his cake. Third is Dalton and Dawson in their play house.

WESTON ZANE JENKINS

Mary and Jonathan had their little baby boy last night. I don't know details yet. Heath called me this morning because Kim had told him at work. I will tell everyone more when I know. See the pictures below. I can't wait to see him. I am sure he will be just as precious as Wade was when I first saw him.

One of you will have to tell me how to get my pictures posted below my posts. I only know how to post them at the bottom of the page. Thanks

Oh, Tina, Shelley, and Shannon I had a blast Saturday night. I was a little quiet and distant because me and husband were having a little argument.

ELMO TRIP

As some you have already read on Granny's Blog, the boys' daycare went on a fieldtrip yesterday to see Elmo in Norfolk, VA. Mom(granny) and I went and took the boys. We all had a blast. At first Dalton was scared and hid his face, but soon he was dancing, smiling, and singing just like Dawson. Granny and I even sang, danced, and clapped. It was so fun seeing their little faces light up when Elmo and Big Bird were on stage. They almost had as much fun at the Elmo concert as I did at the Sugarland concert the other night. Ha Ha!!!

I know for some of you this is a repeat, but below are some pictures from yesterday.

My first posting on my new blog.

Not sure if I will have time to write about my life, but I will try. I really just love reading everyone else's blog...but we will see.
